“1,000 years in one day"

Be a guest at one of the most imposing stone castle ruins in southern Germany

When you arrive, your city guide will welcome you with a shot of ‘Original Wertheim Buddescheißer’. Then you will set off together on a journey of discovery through the picturesque alleyways of the historical old town. After the guided tour, we will invite you to enjoy a typical regional lunch in a Franconian inn.

The focus switches in the afternoon, when you will enjoy the riverside landscapes around Wertheim on a one-hour boat trip down the Main. Later on you will visit the County Museum to marvel at its important cultural collections tracing the history of the city and the County of Wertheim, as well as the Otto Modersohn cabinet exhibition. Or you can learn more about the identity of our city in the entirely traditional and interactive Glass Museum, where you can watch the Wertheim glass blowers go about their business. The fascinating museum with its inviting shop is the only one of its kind in Baden-Württemberg.
